I finally made an effort to join my ex sec sch class gathering. JD invited VIP, MR Tony Wong for the dinner! When Jess broke the news to me, i was so excited. This is the teacher who confiscated my eraser more than 10 years agao so as to let me gain an insight of what art is. I was too cautious in my my drawings that i made back them. I can still recall that he said to me that a good artist should not be too cautious, a good artist has to be confident of every stroke he added to the drawing! He also made me realized that art is just a way of life, look around you, do you see colours and do you see shapes? Don't you think life is an art and vice versa. I seriously do not know why i always missed out in past class gatherings, what's wrong with me?

5th Venue: Interncon Hotel at Bugis

This is a super beautiful and luxurious ballroom i ever seen thus far, so the more luxurious comes with a price ya..so for dinner is about 1kplus and for lunch is about 900plus. Saw showcase of of Yours Truely during the wedding show, the live singing and playing of piano/keyboard for the march in song is very romantic. I saw kewei on that day, i must say, she look even prettier in person than on TV! Her voice is very sweet! We signed up $50 facial for both instead of the wedding package at the show ..LOL! We also tried the free strawberry wax on our hands, the result of it is a super smooth hand..(Just for a while) :) Enjoy ourself to the max in this wedding show!

6Th Venue: Grand Park City hall

Went to this wedding show yesterday (Fri night)! Why a Fri night? dear say it was was indeed a strategic move! Why? Cos BOW is having their wedding showcase at doubty Gaut on Sat, so they wanted to be one step ahead of BOW..so clever! Anyway, went there to have a dinner last month, it is quite a nice ballroom and the reception is a long passage way with nice cocktail served. Their drink is by far the most interesting drink i ever had in all wedding banquet i attended. The buffet food they served is also the banquet food, very genours of them! so few week down the road when i attend my ex-collague wedding , it will be my third time! Can you imagine. The hotel staff also brought us to the bridal suite, it was nice esp the toilet, but was the smallest bridal suite i ever seen. But, it will be good enough for 2 person. Oh ya update the price...for Lunch for 2012 is already $800 nett and for dinner about 1000+ . The price here is mid range. i don't think we will want it here cos both of us are tired of the food....tried to many times. But, the selling point is the pillarless ballroom.

Thought:

Hotel: go for ambience
Restaurant: food is very nice, i like Ban Heng's food, but the rest at harbour front don't look appealing at all especially the reception.
Strategic move: to find a nice restaurant in Hotel as they will throw in bridal suite. It is very convenient to have a suite for changing and make up on actual day. Price is not steep, food is better, will not be broke after wedding since soon after wedding, we will get our keys for our house! If we are able to find a place that is not too ex, we can then throw in live singers and musician and some funny live photoshoot, otherwise, don't even think of it. We are getting married and getting house in a season that everythinng is soooo exp.

It's my dream to throw this little square black hat one day, i did not get to throw it in school ..so came out again to fulfil my little wish. I graduated! Actually officially i have graduated last year! but waited one year for this convocation cos SIM only have 1 convocation every year. So, if you graduated end of the year, you need to wait for the next year for the convocation.

It was a challenging journey to work and study at the same time, but i am glad to say that i make it! I must say that dear really helped me a lot in my studies especially final year! so many people depened on his master piece for exam, i think he helped a lot of people including myself. LOL!! The mad project deadlines have mould me into a better person, a more focused and a more discplined person. I am really amazed at my capacity especially during my last semester! I took a total of 4 module including final year projects, basically there are many lesson i would missed as there is simply no time to attend. I have to rely on video uploaded in the portal and self-revised. Yet, i thank God that i score 3 b and 1 A during my final year. I must admit that it is truely important to end the journey well.

Saw 1 local celebrity held their wedding AD here, is quite nice you know from the pictures. When i went there, yeah still not too bad. We did not arrange to meet up with any coordinator so no food tasting this time. We went to the 8th floor where most couples hold their solemization. Over there you can have some sea-view..not bad in the evening. But once again, it's at Changi Village. ..location is not convenient. Still considering this place as it is not cheap! will check them out at BOW. This is for Project R.

This is Changi Beach Club, if is not Project R, i will not be here..this is so far..even further than Changi Village Hotel ..but is nice!

Very resort style!

I saw some couples holding their solemization here, is quite unique ..but a lot of dragon fly flying here and there..don't really like. The function room there is pretty old too...need to revamp!

This is seabliss restaurant, the wedding coordinator told us that he can remove all the round table and replace with tiffany chairs and arrange these chairs like the typical church style. The sea-view restaurant is also nice..The wedding coordinator also treated us a plate of softshell crab..it's very yummy! So, we'll be awaiting for his quotation :P

Budget is a love-hate word. Before any planning, there must be a budget. Hence, whether you like it a not, you got to set a budget and make sure you do not over-spend. In this sense, budget is my good friend. But, when i wanted to plan something and dear remind me of the word "budget", this word becomes my enemy. But, come to think of it, if it is not the word "budget", you will not even turn on your thinking cap to plan, you just throw one sum of money to wedding planner and tell them the theme and they do everything for you. Well, budget may be good in a sense that it indirectly force you to turn on your thinking cap and create something new, something out-of-the box, do more research and learn things. In this way, you gained not just knowledge but satisfaction. Some the morale behind is money can solve a lot of problem and headache but it sometimes cannot give you everything like satisfaction and sense of achievement and the feeling of like..you don't believe you can be so creative. :) So budget is a love-hate word to me.

Missing phuket

I missed phuket! it's so romantic to sit near the beach area to eat the hot famous banana creep ..can feel the cooling nice wind and enjoy nice food..soooo nice! The coming months will be going to site visit for project R as well as open house for banquet. It's quite fun. It's a nice feeling that i can have plenty of time to slowly plan our big day, no rush and no sweat. It's so interesting also for all the site visit, i am amazed that there are still a lot of places in Singapore yet to explore by us! It's fun. I am so super duper excited for my 14th floor unit at Sengkang which is only 6 mins walk to MRT! Ya..i have to wait till 2013 to be ready, but the thought of knowing my house is a totally brand new just make me feel so happy! It really worth the wait. The riverside park opp our house is also so beautiful...i believe it can link to the new park -Punggol as well..woo nice. I love brand new house and a brand new life and beginning. We can also afford to spend more on better furnitures bla bla bla...it's just so exciting!

Seriously, i am really amazed by his creativity..B.M.W = be my wife! Hs slogon really sounds like advertisment for BMW..haha. Finally see the light after one and a half year battling with the BTO system. Got it at -10% discount, if i will get it earlier, price will be much more higher. Just few months back, also a SK project cost from 286k to 376K was 2 LRT stops away from main station. After Khaw's decision to cut price..our project cost from 246k to 334k. really can't PTL enough. :P

Went to actual site and really walk the walk..found it is really 7 mins walk only!! Oh my goodness! MRT, Shopping center, interchange and Sports complext , library all within walking distance. If our intention is to sell after 5 years, price should be good!

got company credited $ for dental expenses in advance..cool right. Single -$200 and married -$400. Just feltis cool cos this is the first time receiving $ for dental claim. and is in advance. hehe ..feel blessed. Actually this $ will go into my phuket trip since i din visit a dentist..LOL!

So far, i really enjoyed my work, enjoyed chairing meeting..really feel like a host, it's quite a challenge too, being a chairperson, you need to be super alert and quick witted, but it's fun! I have also enjoyed relationship with my colleague and food in bukit merah central! Most of all i also enjoyed the flexibility and freedom in workplace....very trusting and encouraging too. I never regretted joining this place!

Phuket here i come! didn't know after genting trip will go another holiday again!
This 2nd trip to Phuket is with dear...he wanted to have a nice break before starting his new job, this new job is such a bleesing, it's his heart's desire and not to mention a very impressive pay! He has always desire to do thing related to business analysis and now he has the opprotunity to work with a business strategy analyst. It's really a golden opprotunity from heaven! THis opportunity came just in time when he has gotten all the bonus haha..althought is a wait for 6 months after graduation, but i believe it a nice process, we both prayed more and trust more.

We are going to 3D2N again to Patong area..at 4Star-Burasar Resort Phuket..reasonably nice review..hope i am right again this time! Previously booked best wesern swaraddi patong beach resort was value for price and is a 3star! So, this time i will expect more!

My team has a total of 8 person, quite a lot compare to my ex-company. All gals , yes! but we deal with all guys..all the engineers. I use a lot of "Sametime" an application just like MSN, cos our engineers are from all over the world like Korea, KL, SIngapore and HongKong. If contract is passed, support might extends to other parts of Asia, haha, then my account will hire another person. "P

I am currently tasked to do much simple job compare to my senior, i think is good! At least i can get my , foundatin right. However, i guess i still need more time to get used to all the IT terms and definition.

Well, yesterday was a day where i feel so blessed. Firstly,my colleague offer to help me buy macdonal breakfast every Friday as her house would run of bread by Friday. I think this is quite a sweet gesture of her to ask me if i want to buy also. Secondly, my manager brought me to Thai Ascent at Vivo to celebrate my birthday druing lunch time, it's belated, but i thought it's quite thoughtful of her! Thirdly, at night, dear say afer work he will come to my place to watch the police drama show on channel 8, i was wondering why he wants to make such an effort since he lives in the east, it will be a long journey back home, then he say he missed me and wants to share with me his life as a coast guard during his army days. It was so sweet of him too!

I want to be a person that can appreciate small little things in life as this would make me a happier person. It's so important to count our blessings each day before we sleep, it just warmth my heart a little, bring a little smile to my face and some peace to my heart. :)

Went orientation at Twenty Anson today. Office was a lot more pretty than ours the Henderson! Sob...

Toilet was damn pretty too..envy those in HQ!

It's was interesting so far for me to work in MNC. Since it's an IT firm, so com. hire lot of indian..haha! Seated in the board room today came from all over the world...we have people from China, Philipine, India, Malaysia and not forgetting Singapore!

The first half of the orientation are self intro, ice-breaking games, HR briefing of company's global and Asia's overview, goals, learning portal. After the first half of the training, i joined the international gang to eat philipinoes food..it's was damn unhealthy but super delicious! The 2nd half of e orientation was really boring....all the legal and contract management thingy and the KRA (key results areas). I have never did any appraisal till date...and from what the HR is talking ...i really think the KRA is such a pain...the goals set must be "Smart" the HR said, otherwise, it will be rejected and we have to re-do...argh~~

I think the most interesting part of the orientation is knowing that more about the HR benefits...i was surprised that the married staff in our company can have so much benefits! Basically, our dependent such as hubby and kiddos are covered for insurance, outpatient claims and dental claims! Oh Gosh...this is too good to be true. But, too bad, i am not married yet so can't enjoy all these benefits !! lol . THe company culture also allow flexible working system to allow mothers to work - this is very nice! THey make every effort to promote "Work-Life Balance"! This is what i am looking for!

THe company also makes a lot of effort to develop their people, other than the learning portal, employee can look for courses outside and get a full claim upon manager and HR's approval! Best of all, each employee after their 1 year in the company, they can register for any membership registration...fully paid forth by the company..! not bad..not bad! As their company allow rotation, if you are tired of your work scope, simply seek approval for transfer, NOt BAD!!

I am so thankful that God granted my desires to work in such diverse enviroment to gain exposure, although my second job lasted for close to 5 years, i guess now is still not too late to explore around. :)

Last year birthday was at Sunway Logoon..how abt this year? It will be @ Genting! ..

i contemplating whether to go cos a lot of people told me that there is really ntothing much, but it is the curosity in me that got me going! haha ..Dear when there for like 5 Good times! and i think he can be a real good guide to me...initially thought it will be good to find more friends going, but since i can claim my 1 day leave due to the General Election, i must as well make full use of it.

The package is a 3D2N stay at first world hotel with daily breakfast and outdoor teampark with unlimited rides..:) . I think it will be a nice trip and a good way to celebrate my birthday!

Found out from tour agency that nov 19 will have a cruise trip to maleka by Royal Caribean for only $329...still thinking whether to go for it...

- 1 week has passed and i have just begun to understand the work-flow..my manager told me to burn the "change management process standards and ISO" leh...at first i was thinking..."Huh.., i just finish my studies..now need to sudy again" ..but after pondering...i feel it's a good news! e company is seriously into developing their people to ensure that are competent to perform...i see it as a good learning curve for me as i always believed the day you stop learning is the day you stop growing....

- Phew! the welcome pack was 9 online quiz! the US company really places much emphasizes on enthical practices and work-related trainings...2nd day fall sick liaoz..ah! Hope i can recover by today.

- Receive a new lap-top and is win-7 and was introduce to so many IT terms...phew! not easy..i am only now at 4th quiz out of 9...not easy..

- workplace is really highly secured ..need to tag my staff pass at three different doors before i reach my desk...

- adjusting to flexible working style. over here, they emphasizes on performance and intergrity rather than attendance.

I love my weekend! every week d will think of interesting places to bring me to..i really enjoyed our trip to East Coast park last weekend...the feeling of riding bicycle pass the sea was wonderful! the wind and the blue waters is so peaceful, relaxed and enjoyable...as we are on he double bicycle..i got the chance to look high up in the blue sky decorated with many nice kites was fantastic.. i simply love east side..so many recreational activities to do and explore..i feel so blessed :)

Yes, i woke up at 5.30am already! Lol...decided to read some newsapaper and surf some net..! i seriously find me body amazing, my body seriously dont requires much sleep as i can have full energy next day even if i have just slept for like 4 to 5 hours? WL told me that people who req lesser sleep tend to be shorter in height and more cheerful and positive..is this true? lol! She said that according to some research, kids who had llitle sleep tends o be shorter..OOPS! am i one of he victitm? If i will have kids of my own, i will let them have lots of sleep! lol!

Going to bangkok on thurs! but i still refuse to pack my luggage! haha...i rather surf net and do watch video rather than pack..i guess i really like the feeling of packing my luaggage just one day before flying...that feeling is just so nice...the anticpation for the next day is simply precious, no amount of $ can buy! I am so SO SO excited.

Just when i talk about packing luaggage, my mind brought me instantly to the time in year 1999 -(16 YEARS OLD) when my sister packed luaggage for her "moutain tortise sister"..cos she is going LOndon for 13 days with her school band! This moutain tortise has never been to even Johore Bahru before and UK became her first oversea trip ...this is awesome! God answered moutain tortise's prayer! haha! Anyway, I just enjoyed to the max seeing my sis packed my luaggage for me that time, it's a kind of loving expression that i can't describe! and it is priceless! i felt loved by my sis. :)

Went to carrefour with dear and his mum to buy luaggage (4 wheel)! and he got it at $69...quite a good quality, but smaller than mine! dear refused to buy the 28 inch cos he feel is too big, but his mum thinks is too small. (conclusion: women has more barang to bring lor)... then we went to eat waffle ice-cream at Galare! (Tues = half price) -fantastic..three of us ate happily and went home with satisfied stomach :)

This is too good to be true! After 3+ of hard work, i finally can graduate! No more tight budget and more time to have fun! I feel more balanced now! GOd is good! This journey has been easier also cos there are really good friends who understand me, colleagues and manager who never fails to encourage me and helped to cover in my work! and a great bf who push me to study! My convocation will be next year October, now i must pray for my dear friend, weiling to finish her last lap well, so that we can take graduation photos together! Tonight gonna have a mini xmas dinner with weiling, elim and imedla..the rest all oversea ..sob..but i believe i will sure enjoy myself to the maximum! We bid our third time for Punggol project, this Project was not as expensive as waterfront terrance and is in the central, about 7 mins walk to MRT and future punggol park which is nice from artistic view and sports complex and future town. And best of all, within the project itself it has eating house, Supermarket and child care center! Is this convenient or rwhat....best of all...it is just 30 mins away from TOwn!!!!!!

Phew! Finally got a taste of the weekend "Strategy" class! Not bad, there are buffet for morning and noon session only started during my batch! Heng!

The weekend session really blow my mind away, it's not the normal class setting that i normally attend. The sch have purposefully arrange the class in smaller size and marks are being allocated for student partipation in class. By the way, participation is not just about answering verbally, but to provide evidence and hard facts such as accouting ratio to support your answer for critical questions throw onto the floor. And, the stressful part is, you need to be quick as names are not called to asnwer questions, but more like a free-style thingy. If you are unable to answer, you have to critics on others answer and aruge or bombard back...Phew! Although is rather stressful but i feel that such a setting seems to be the better model for learning. It indirectly "motivates" you to better read up before class and really get yourself prepared for the lessons. This is the first time i experience questions bombarding at us even before teaching commends, everyone is browsing the textbook and case study profusely to prepare to argue their stand...

the Second final assignment is reveal, need to do preparation le! Sweat..more reading require, more critical thinking needed !

YEs! i finally won the battle of insisting the school to mark my video. I won this batltle..i finally won! It is a battle that lasted for 1 whole month..i nearly fainted. Thank GOD for the miracle if not i wont be able to clear everything this coming semester!! What is miracle? Miracle to me is something that happen which blow your mind cos you did not expect an outcome to be the reality. Just 1 month ago, i got an F grade for BUS357 and 1 month later after the battling with the school, i manage to got back a "B" back! God is good all the time, all the time God is good, but as his child, we are always being impatient with the results. However, i know that he has the exciting and great plans install for me. I need to stay focusd for another 3 + months and not lose heart and continue to believe till the end.

THe episode of battling with the school to mark my video really allow me to understand what "persistence" it is. Thank God that i persist even though appeal results is the same and even though the head of programm mentioned in the letter "no more discussion is required, the decision is final" - i almost wanna give up, but my spirit is not willing, i just know i my heart i need to persist cos HS reminded me of the persistence women in the bible right in the begining of the battle. THis is the first time in my uni's life that i ever send an email to the dean and even talk to Provost. haha.. What an experience! 3 more months to endure, i need to work hard, have faith that i can graduate and face my next phase of life. The best is yet to come!I will keep confessing postive words into my world and future, cos now i really believe in the power of positive confession! I WILL MAKE IT! I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN! Persist on, press in, and not give up!
